Free shore diving (not including equipment rental) I am a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer in Auckland, New Zealand. I have been training with PADI since I started diving. Some how, some where along the way, I have picked up the nickname Dive Mistress (among others). No, I wont be spanking you if you don't get your skills right the first time and no, I don't wear a collar and carry whips underwater – but I know where I can borrow some if the need does indeed arise! I was talked into learning to dive by a friend of mine about 3 years ago. We were going to Fiji so it seemed like the perfect time to learn – as well as there being clear and blue waters. The way I tell the story now, I didn't really know about the learning to dive part but in fact, I agreed to it. I still spent the whole flight to Fiji thinking about how I could get out of it but after the week was done I had to admit that I actually loved it! I even wrote a blog about it and having Nell come along on my dives means I have a photographic and written record of me learning to scuba dive. And I think that is pretty cool. As soon as I got my hands on an underwater housing for my camera, well I was even more hooked. It was only about a month after we got back from Fiji that I was booked in to complete my Advanced Open Water with DiveHQ Greenlane up at the Poor Knights Islands on board Pacific Hideaway. Prior to traveling overseas in August 2007, I completed my Rescue Diver and Master Scuba Diver with Dive HQ Greenlane. I have completed the following PADI Specialty Diver courses; * Altitude Diver * Deep Diver * Digital Underwater Photography * Dry Suit Diver * Enriched Air Nitrox * Peak Performance Buoyancy * Self Reliant Diver (Distinct Specialty) Some of the specialties I completed because I had the opportunity to – with friends as Instructors, well why not? Some of them; Deep, Nitrox, PPB and SRD were more for the knowledge as the more I understand, the more comfortable I feel. Since being back in New Zealand, I have completed my Divemaster and Instructor Training with Global Dive in Westhaven. I am currently teaching part-time (and spending all my earnings and more!) there. I currently offer the following PADI Specialty courses; * Peak Performance Buoyancy (highly recommended) * Deep Diver * Digital Underwater Photography * Enriched Air Nitrox (to 40%) * Underwater Naturalist * Wreck Diver * Boat Dive Here you will find information on the training I can offer you and well as organised travel and diving – along with all the interesting, strange and fascinating scuba diving news I chance on. You'll get to meet sightly mad but like minded people – we like to get out and have a good time and to get to know new people. Haha … do you think its really true what they (PADI) say? That divers have more fun? Then you should try it out and see! Anytime, anywhere – get in touch and let me know what you are thinking about doing, where you are thinking about going and what you want to do when you get there. Scuba Diving Experience Tell you what, the last three years have been one heck of a while ride. It is very true that I love to dive as a hobby and now that I have replaced my underwater camera and housing (and finally added a strobe on) – and I can often be found at one of the Poor Knights Islands dive sites with my face stuck in a wall. I have decided to take it a little further and help others see and do what I have become addicted to. In the last three years, I have dived in some pretty spectacular places; * Yasawas, Fiji * Poor Knights Islands, New Zealand * Key Largo, Florida * Cartagena, Colombia * The Galapagos Islands, Ecuador * Patagonia, Argentina Dive Mistress on Scuba Diver Girls Directory Email Dive Mistress
